Not only are the pieces solid in heft and absolutely smooth to the touch, they cleverly cradle a dinner plate: The fork handles curve to the right and the knife and spoon handles curve to the left. No frills or adorning doodads, just simple, sensuous curves. The knife is particularly dramatic with its handle curving one way and full-rounded top the other, and spoon bowls are oval-shaped for a contemporary look. Balance is carefully thought out on these pieces.
